Supporting the Skinners and Bulembu Ministries

Our time in Africa will no doubt change our lives forever, as we seek to bring God's love to those who cry out for justice and mercy. But our true desire is that many more lives will be changed, not just for Swaziland, but also for eternity. Through your prayers and support, you too can play a part in reaching out to these desperate ones whose only hope is Jesus.

Our family will need prayer and financial support to make this venture possible. We are trusting that God will supply all our needs knowing that He is faithful. If you are able to support us regularly in prayer and would like to receive regular email updates, please contact us via our email @swazimission.com

We have set up a Sovereign Account with an organisation called Stewardship who are able to reclaim the tax on any donation that we receive from UK tax payers. If you are able to contribute to this project with a one-off gift, or a regular standing order then you can download our Stewardship form and send it directly to them (to view the form you will need Adobe Reader which is available free from the Adobe Website.

If you are not a tax payer, or would prefer not to donate via Stewardship then please contact Paul Hughes who will be managing our funds, he also has some Stewardship forms which he is able to post to you.

You can also donate online via paypal by clicking on the button below:

We would like to thank our family and many friends in Ilfracombe, Reading and elsewhere who have, through their generous help and support, enabled us to undertake our 'Swazimission'.

Scholarships

The desire to see every child no matter age, race or gender receive a full and enriched education is a passion held deeply in our family. The extent of this became evident in my mother's dying wish that we should remain in Swaziland, Africa and finish setting up a schooling system for the orphaned children of Bulembu. In fulfilling her wish and our desire to stay, we carried on with our work in Bulembu and are continuing to establish a school despite her passing and being unable to share in the joy of seeing it up and running. To this end, if you would like to specifically sponsor a child's education the costs are detailed in the school page of this web site along with information and pictures of some of the children of the school. The cost to sponsor a child for a whole year in the school, is £300 - that's 82p per day!

Anita Skinner

Having graduated from a teacher training college in Bath at 24, Anita soon established herself as a successful teacher. She became Head of Department for Biology at the Hurst Secondary School in her home town as well as developing her skills as a successful artist, whose paintings are now hung on many walls around the world! She left the Hurst to establish a specialised teaching centre educating pregnant teenagers; she eventually worked for the county, home schooling young people the mainstream education system could, for various reasons, not handle. Anita established a loving and secure environment enabling these young people to succeed and learn. She finished her long and successful career in education, teaching art classes at a local night school only a few months before her death at age 75.
